SongTreats Music Clubs: Making Music and Creativity Accessible
29 October 2026
We are really pleased to be supporting SongTreats, school holiday clubs which give children the chance to express their creativity through making music and having fun together. Established by a team of dynamic local music teachers and designed for Key Stage 2 children, the sessions combine songwriting, composition, improvisation and instrumental playing through a lively programme of musical activities and games. There are no minimum knowledge requirements, making the clubs accessible to beginners as well as children who are already learning an instrument.
The Songtreats team create a wonderfully supportive atmosphere, drawing out the children’s ideas and helping them develop these into music of their own. The children, from different Bristol primary schools, develop the confidence to experiment, contribute ideas, work collaboratively and even take turns leading group improvisations.
We’re pleased to support Songtreats by funding a number of places for children whose families may otherwise struggle to meet the cost. Funded places are available via application through Bristol Beacon for families who meet the eligibility criteria.
